The day before the shoot I visited the location to recce. I gathered photos of all the planned locations and evaluated them each on their merits, giving myself options in case one of the locations became unsuitable on the day of the shoot.
Shooting location 1
This location is was where I shot the final scene and first shot, which we decided to shoot first as it allowed me to be more flexible in what I shot later. It was the most challenging location to shoot in due to the muddy ground, but I came prepared with protection for the tripod because of my recce.
Shooting location 2
This location was shot second, being used for scene 1's main dialogue. It was one of many benches that had been evaluated in the recce but it was the quietest on the day of the shoot.
Shooting location 3
This location was shot last, and was another of the available and quiet locations on the day. I specifically wanted to shoot here as it seemed the most visually interesting during the recce.
